struggling with a partner, a parent, a child, a
friend, a co-worker, a boss, an ex - We all have
relationships that don't work. This does not

relationships - equitable interactions that give
us self- respect and self-esteem. Breaking and
Healing is for everyone, because everyone has
relationship issues - it's just whether or not
we face them. When you don't face your issues,

is
an opportunity to uncover the misconceptions and
rationalizations; a way to take back your power
and know that you can create the life you want.
Love is not something that happens to us – we
make it happen! Only when you are “intimate”
with yourself can you share that intimacy with
another. If you want passion, you must be
passion; if you want love, you must be love.
Sit back, listen and open. Understand it
differently, change what doesn’t work, and get
answers that point you in a new direction.
Remember love is an introspective process and
unless you are willing to journey inward, you
can never connect to the core of who you really
are. Being real is only way to have real
relationships. |

This
insightful and riveting talk debunks commonly
held beliefs that keep us stuck both personally
and professionally and teaches us new ways to
look at the same old stuff. Called "Tampa Bay's
own Dr. Phil", Chandra shares with corporate
event planners the same no nonsense reality she
delivers on NBC's DAYTIME "Reality Check".
Integrating a strong business sense with
spirituality and self-actualization, she reveals
how having a good working relationship with your
mind is the foundation of all good business and
all good relationships - the one you have with
your co-worker, the one you have with your boss,
the one you have with your partner, and most
importantly, the one you have with yourself.
Listening to Chandra speak, you will have
moments of enlightenment and feel empowered. |

for the savvy seeker, neophyte, and all those
in-between. Chapter titles such as It is our
fear that creates our bravery, The universe
works if you get out of the way, and Being human
is the key to knowing your divinity, all propose
new ways to look at the same old stuff, with a
twist. Spiritual myths are “de-bunked” as
complicated concepts are stripped to the bare
essentials with clarity, freshness and
reverence. Fifty-two chapters in all…brief and
explicit lessons on living truthfully with a
grounded sense of wonder.
Reality Works is for readers who want their
spirituality straight-up, without the anecodotes
and endless explanations. Combining eastern
wisdom with a hip, contemporary, very American
point of view, it makes readers laugh out loud,
see life with a fresh perspective, sit in the
middle of the floor and welcome their
demons-basically learn how to feel a range of
feelings by first facing the monster of fear and
loneliness.
"We have been so conditioned to want only what
is easy and initially makes us feel good that we
have neglected the soft underbelly, that part of
life that is difficult and makes us
uncomfortable, but in the end has the ability to
connect us to what is real," writes Alexander in
the Introduction.
Fifty-two chapters (one for every week in the
year) provide brief but explicit lessons on how
to live with a grounding sense of wonder.
Chapters include "When You Are Confused, Do
Nothing," "Love Grows if You're not in a Coma,"
"I am not Afraid of Things That Scare Me," and
"Men and Women are Different-Enjoy it." From
loneliness to relationships, from learning to
leave things alone to learning to pay attention,
Reality Works offers fifty-two ways to live a
richer, more authentic life. A gem of a book
that can be picked up again and again, each time
meeting the reader in exactly the right place.

Author Comments
“I have read spiritual / philosophical books
voraciously for thirty years and still have not
found that little gem that can be picked up
again and again, each time meeting the reader in
exactly the right place. In all my years of
reading, if I walked away with one new way of
looking at destiny, energy or free will, I felt
it was worth the price of the book. I wrote this
book because it was something I was always
looking for and could never find.” |

This daily email is an opportunity to stay
connected to what's real and true. Cutting
through to "The Real Truth" is my way of sharing
with you an inner barometer to test the
"realness" of where you are at any moment.
Having a good life is not for the weak at heart.
A cold eye is what's needed to plunge our inner
depths and for that we must be brave. Regardless
of our dysfunction, our ego must be healthy and
strong enough so that we can we be brutally
honest with ourselves. Real bravery is accepting
that the inner journey will include "uncomfortableness"
and anxiety; that there is no way to face our
demons without the willingness to meet them.
There will always be emotional pain when we
finally feel our grief and sadness, and get in
touch with a lifetime of "stuffed feelings", but
once we stop resisting what has always been
there, we experience freedom, and finally know
that suffering is optional. Here's to living in
the present moment - not the past or the future
