The art of Kiper has always been designed and crafted to tell a story, or take you to faraway places,
but most of all, the feeling of participation with the scene is almost impossible to escape,
since the artist goes to great length to bring the characters and the objects of interest onto the frame and into the viewer's space.
This concept is called extensionism by the artist and it serves as a take off point for many of his works, such as his Windoworks Series.
These are windows that are hung like conventional paintings but take on the look of a trompe l'oeil, (trick the eye), mural.
Many of these scenes are whimsical and take you to European landscapes with castles and motes;
others, to the beautiful mountains of the Midwestern States. Several have been commissioned and look out into the patron's favorite view.
Other works by Kiper include allegoric paintings accompanied by a poem, portraits, landscapes,
surreal and fantasy art that are highly stylized and incorporate many past art styles.
